Film/TV

This brand new film and cinema section launched in October 25, featuring weekly cinema reviews of the latest releases and occasional TV and streaming movie write ups.

Our five-part series on Cineworld is now also complete and below to view. A review of Cineworld Unlimited, the Rugby site, food review and info on the special showings.

I’ve always been a big film fan, and having a local cinema within walking distance means I can take advantage of regular screenings.

I’m not a critic, just a regular audience member, and these are my thoughts. Hopefully, they offer genuine insight. Sometimes I’ll agree with critics, but I also aim to share my own perspective as someone who simply enjoys cinema releases.

I particularly enjoy sci-fi, action, comedy, thrillers and horror. 2026 is shaping up to be a strong year for releases, with plenty to look forward to. However, I do try to be adventurous and watch films I might not normally choose. By doing this, you can often discover hidden gems you may otherwise have missed.
