With so many restaurants, food and bars to choose from onboard the P&O cruise ship Arvia, here is a summary of the choices available.
On board you have a mix of buffet restaurants and bookable dining experiences. Some require booking in advance either in person or via the “My Holiday” app and if busy, you can visit and pick up a device that will vibrate when your table is ready.
Portion wise, starters are generally small and mains of a polite average size. Though you can always order more or go to another eatery. Desserts are quite a decent size but do tend to be a lot of similar set jellied puddings.
During a 14 night cruise, some restaurants have a weekly menu that changes every week. Some restaurants will have new menu item daily such as the Zenith restaurant.
Where possible, I have attempted to provide actual menus and photos.
The 6th Street Diner
The Street diner is an American style eating experience with juke box which is fitted to look like a 50’s style US restaurant. The staff even in custom uniforms.
Food wise, all was excellent. We went here a few times and I was able to get an excellent steak as well.
The menu changes throughout the day and the lunch menu offered lovely prawn po-boy sandwiches. Also open for breakfast/brunch and evenings.

Buffet – “Horizon”
During our first evening, we did try the late night buffet. A selection of desserts, rolls and hot food like Indian. While busy, we did get a wide choice of foods to try. I had some rice, potatoes and bread rolls.
This buffet is open most of the day. Being a bread lover, I enjoyed getting bread rolls and filled rolls. I was also able to do that some evenings.
Also open for breakfast, lunch and diner.

Zenith
For breakfast on our first day, we visited this restaurant which is included and offers table service. It was quite impressive and the service was very attentive. I had croissants and toast and yoghurt. My wife had a cooked breakfast. Service was fast and food quality was good.
We also used this restaurant for some evening meals. Don’t forget that men cannot wear shorts in this restaurant in the evenings as table service.

The Olive Grove
A Mediterranean style Italian restaurant. You can also eat breakfast here.
The menu selection of fish dishes and pasta was good. We visited a couple of times.

Taste 360
Taste 360 is really convenient when you are in the Sky Dome. Serving burgers and pizza and you can just grab a basket with either a hot dog, burger or chicken burger and chips. The chicken burger was a favourite of ours. Many grab burgers and take back to rooms or even eat at the buffet and add additional items to eat. A busy counters that most of the time, you can pick food without any wait.

The Quays
This restaurant offers fish and chips, curries and roasts with Yorkshire puddings. They also serve breakfast buffets with pancakes, egg dishes and usual cooked breakfast options. We had breakfast here quite a lot as on deck 8 as our cabin was on 10. We were then able to grab pancakes for our daughter and breakfast items. The breakfast items were also good.
Midday to late afternoon they served roasts and Yorkshire puddings. Sometimes you could also get beef or chicken wraps to take away.

Ripples Ice Cream
Ripples ice cream has a good selection of ice cream, lollies and drinks. You can also order sundaes like the Oreo Sundae or a knickerbocker glory. The ice cream is not included so you pay for what you want. A similar ice cream stand also exists in the Sky Dome.
We also had an ice cream ice tea which was very good value. See pictures.

The Beach House
The Beach House is in a cornered off section of the main Horizon buffet. One of our favourite restaurants that we booked. You pay a little bit extra for this one.
An excellent menu and we had three enjoyable courses. For one meal I had a massive nachos with cheese and chicken starter. For main a steak on a hot lava stone followed by a dessert sharer with marshmallows and strawberries to dip in chocolate. The king prawns with the steak were also amazing.

The Keel and Cow
The Keel and Cow restaurant is a steak restaurant on deck 8 in the atrium area. Famed for its Prime Minister burger.
Many steak cuts are available and you pay a supplement to eat at this restaurant. The service was also excellent here. Though we did not appreciate it as much as some.

Promenade Shop (Sweet shop)
The sweet shop has lots of chocolate, crisps and pick and mix . Prices vary with some things reasonably priced and other things a little bit more expensive.
The pick and mix prices were good and ideal before cinema. You can buy a small or large cup and then help yourself to the sweets that you want. Like most shops, they had offers occasionally.

Green And Co
Lovely decor in this vegan restaurant that has a land menu and sea menu with sushi. Quite nice restaurant but just visited the once.

Sindhu
This was my favourite restaurant with its Asian and Indian infusion of food.
You pay a little extra for this one but it is worth it. As we paid deposits in advance, you also get 20% off on the night.
The food was amazing and presented so well. The staff are all lovely here as well.
We had the signature combo main meals with duck, beef and crab. A very special and tasty experience.
Of note and credit to the team of this restaurant – one small thing went wrong but was a genuine accident. The issue not being the point but how the team dealt with the matter. Truly lovely staff who genuinely care about their guests and experience. I totally recommend this restaurant. The best.
