Harry Merlin-Piper finishing as runner-up on Netflix Star Search is a fantastic achievement. I have followed his career for a number of years and have been lucky enough to see him perform live several times, both at The Magic Circle in London and at the Blackpool Magic Convention. Watching him develop as an artist over the years has been interesting to follow. It has been clear for some time that he was destined for bigger things and I always said he was the young talent to keep an eye on.
I also had the opportunity to meet Harry in person last year, which made those performances even more memorable. I was able to get a signed playing card for my collection and even grab a quick selfie, both of which are in my collection. Seeing him now gain recognition on such a major platform as Netflix feels like watching someone’s hard work truly pay off. His performances certainly were confident. Congratulations to Harry on an incredible result and on representing modern magic so brilliantly.
