We’ve visited this carvery many times over the years and usually avoid peak Sunday. However, we needed to kill some time so we opted for two medium mixed meat carvery’s at the Binley Woods restaurant.

The price on Sunday (peak) was £15.79 compared to the usual £10.70. I’ll let you decide if 46% more on a Sunday is good value. I guess you have to appreciate supply and demand.

Sundays & Bank Hols £15.79
Saturday £12.99
Monday – Friday £10.79

This popular national chain is generally known for its value offering, especially on weekdays. We found a good table near the carvery and drinks machine despite the restaurant being quite busy. The customer service was excellent, but the carvery service was a bit slow with queues.

The meat portion was a little stingy (particularly as the cost is much more on a Sunday) but the rest of the food was generally good. The Yorkshire pudding was a decent size and very tasty.

My lemon blizzard was quite decent for a pudding. Dessert prices were reasonable.

The site needs some maintenance and feels a bit tired. The unlimited drinks machine needed TLC and the taps in bathrooms and other fittings were also struggling.

Overall a decent meal and experience for a Toby.

“The second season is nearly done, and somehow I’ve only just discovered this show. I’m about to start the series one finale and honestly, what a great watch it’s been. It feels like 24 meets Lost, with plenty of twists and surprises along the way. I’m hoping it just keeps getting better.“
