The weather was a little unpredictable on the weekend of this year’s Leamington Spa food festival. Still, with the thought of food, breads and more we still headed over.
The annual Festival in Leamington is one of the largest in the Midlands, at least in my area. Held in the massive Pump Room Gardens, the event features numerous stalls offering a diverse range of food, including Asian, Italian/pizza, fish and chips, and even stalls selling sauces, cheese, bread, cakes, sweets, churros, and more. A cookery school and live music performances are also part of the festivities, with around 120 stalls and companies in attendance. There’s certainly plenty of choice, and there are also bars for drinks. It’s a great place to find something for everyone and entry is free.
This year the event ran on the weekend of the 12th and 13th of September. Thankfully we escaped weather-wise and remained dry.
We managed to get chocolate strawberries, Branson and cheese sausage roll, cakes, sour dough loaf and mac and cheese.
The event always draws in a massive crowd, and if you can attend, it is a fun event. The crowd is good-natured, and though busy, queues for stalls are normally quite quick. This year as the weather was a little dull, there were probably reduced crowds.
