Tell us about your favorite pair of shoes, and where they’ve taken you.

When I was a teenager, my parents bought me a pair of black and silver Hi-Tec trainers. At the time the brand was quite fashionable (believe it or not!). They were incredibly comfortable and I wore them so much I didn’t want to stop. They were practically falling apart when I stopped wearing them, and I remember my mum kindly advising when they needed to be binned!

My second favourite pair of shoes/trainers were the white with red and black “BK Knights” I bought in the 90s, during a trip to the USA. They were almost boot-like and incredibly comfortable, quite fashionable too. I think they were difficult to find in the UK when I first got them, perhaps I was a bit of a trendsetter! (Not)

The AI (ChatGPT) recreated the BK boots quite well but not so much the Hi-Tec’s that I owned.

The BK Knights reimagined by AI is quite good but the Hi-Tec pic is pretty off.
