What movies have you watched more than 5 times?

Now this got me thinking. While I don’t generally keep watching films, my age dictates that I have probably watched many classic films many times. These are the films that come to mind:

National Lampoons Christmas Vacation my all time favourite Christmas film that I have to watch every December.

Grease and The Sound of Music are two of the musicals that I remember seeing in the cinema as a family and over the years, I know I have seen them loads.

Star Wars: A New Hope I remember my Dad taking me in the March of 1978 to the cinema for my birthday . I loved this film and probably the only time I went to the cinema with Dad on our own. A special memory.

Wizard Of Oz and Mary Poppins are classics that we certainly watched a lot as kids. They were always on TV.

Terminator, Star Trek The Motion Picture, Superman and Star Trek Generations have also been firm favourites being a sci-fi fan.

Jaws and ET are two classics by Steven Spielberg and I do love ET. He was a particularly popular (Steven – not ET) and successful director in the late 70’s and 80’s.

Carry On Camping, Carry On Dick and Carry On Doctor are all favourites and I have watched these many times over the years on TV. I’ve always been a massive Sid James fan who appeared in these films. I also loved Bless This House the film that he also starred in.

Back to the Future I have watched many times as I am a Michael J Fox fan.

Goldeneye, Moonraker, A View To A Kill and Octopussy are the Bond films that come to mind, and I certainly watched many Roger Moore Bond films many times in the cinema and then on TV.

Ferris Buellers Day Off is a comedy that I still love watching and it is a classic. It’s also having a special 40th anniversary showing at the cinema soon, and I’ve booked!

The main thing that many of these films have in common is that I saw many as a child in the cinema (except the carry on films).

My quick takes…

  • Easter Eggs

“ As Easter approaches, I’m hoping to stay strong and avoid chocolate. My goal is to eat just one egg. Can I manage that? “

“The second season is nearly done, and somehow I’ve only just discovered this show. I’m about to start the series one finale and honestly, what a great watch it’s been. It feels like 24 meets Lost, with plenty of twists and surprises along the way. I’m hoping it just keeps getting better.“
