My wife always enjoys watching talented UK actor/actress Keeley Hawes. A real talent who is in high demand and very versatile. This most recent offering has her playing a retired assassin who teams up with her estranged son, played by Freddie Highmore.

A talented and watchable cast in the mini-series, which is available to watch on Amazon Prime. Six episodes, each around 52 minutes. As the series progresses, it introduces Marie, played by Gina Gershon, which was a series highlight. An excellent portrayal of an antagonist out for revenge, with a twisted portrayal and campness. I loved the closing scenes where she scene steals with her excellent portrayal.

While action adventure is a departure for Keeley, requiring many stunts, the writing is enthused with humour and drama, and developers/prducers Harry and Jack Williams who were behind “Flea Bag” worked on this production. The humour and action is reminiscent of “Killing Eve”.
An enjoyable and watchable series, which is easy to follow. Some plot twists, but easy to keep up with, and it held my attention. Lots of excellent action scenes, and I understand it to have been largely filmed in Greece. Though a multi-location drama, story-wise also set in other locations/countries like Albania, etc. Also keep an eye out for Alan Dale who features in a couple of episodes.
High budget and explosive action. Well filmed and recommended if you are looking for your next binge. Worth a watch and number one on Amazon Prime after only just dropping in the last week. Thankfully, the story is also wrapped up, as I did wonder if they would leave loose ends hanging. However, possibilities exist for sure for a second series.
