Do you spend more time thinking about the future or the past? Why?

This is a simple one for me. I definitely think more about the future than the past.

Reflecting on the past is a good thing but it’s just that. While many memories are comforting, it’s important to remember deceased family and friends and perhaps acknowledge past achievements. It’s also helpful to consider what you might change or do differently if you could learn from past events.

While I do spend more time thinking about the future, as like many others I am genuinely concerned about what lies ahead, I feel we live in dangerous times filled with uncertainties and risks. I worry for our children and their future. It’s as if we haven’t learned anything from the past.

Maybe the correct answer should be that equal thought is given to the past and future. A balance to aid leaning and make everything better for all. Learn from the past to help correct the future positively.
