Those who follow this blog will know that I am an avid YouTube Premium subscriber. The benefit of watching with no ads is that you are likely to subscribe to and follow more channels. It is, of course, easier to watch YouTube without ads, and you will therefore watch more content and attempt to discover new content through recommendations.
In the past, I have written about some of my favourite travel channels, such as “The Endless Adventure,” who I have followed since 2018. The number of channels as a family that we follow is on the increase, and here are some more recent discoveries. To read about my previous travel choices to follow, do take a read here.
These are some channels that we have discovered in the last 18 months and follow without fail. Many excellent UK creators to follow, and these channels tend to cover UK lifestyle/citylife, travel, house renovations, food, cruising, and motor sport.
Hannah Ricketts

We follow this lifestyle vlogger without fail, and she is our favourite YouTuber. She always posts every Tuesday and Friday at 6 p.m. and covers everything from food and hotel reviews to travel, events, and London shops. An entertaining channel and likeable lady. We have followed her avidly now for about a year. While content does vary, at present, Tuesday “Tuesdate” is a food review of a restaurant and Friday is a 5-star London hotel review.

Milly & Louis: Belgrave Villa Renovation

An entertaining house renovation channel which is also educational when you learn approaches to DIY renovations. Two watchable and funny characters as they renovate their massive house. They appear popular and have kept their subscriber base growing, with 346K currently and videos released every Wednesday. As such, it’s a big project, and they will likely be on YouTube for a long time.

Georgie & Michael

While the channel has existed for a while, the focus has shifted this year to a house renovation project a few months back, and we then started to follow. They regularly post on Sundays and have 13.9k subscribers. A local Midlands couple to us, so interesting to watch their progress.

Brogan Tate

While we do not watch every video, as content hugely varies, we find some of the travel and hotel videos interesting, especially when visiting Disney/theme parks. Brogan often blogs with her husband Benji, and she has 145k subscribers. Videos are regular and can drop at any time.

Harrison Webb

Harrison generally posts food reviews every Sunday. Occasionally, content may include visits to supermarkets, and he will blog mainly from the UK and sometimes the US. He has an amazing 1.09m subscribers and is very popular as he is entertaining. So successful, he is a YouTuber who has his own team and, in this instance, a cameraman and even sells his own merchandise.

Emma Cruises

While we do not watch every video, we enjoy info about cruises, so keep an eye for content and reviews that are of interest to us. 401k subscribers— so a popular channel. Vlogs include tours of ships and she regularly presents live chats to answer questions. She is very knowledgeable about cruises and offers honest opinions and tips. She also has merchandise but in this case she raises money for charity.

Next up are a couple of newer channels that we have discovered with likeable presenters. Too early to say if we will permanently follow them but they are worth recommending.
Molly Thomson

Another newer channel (to us) that we discovered with an interesting video recommendation on a pod hotel in Piccadilly Circus, London. It appears to be general lifestyle vlogs, and we were impressed with Molly and how easy she was to watch as a good presenter. The channel has some 151k subscribers.

Mat Armstrong

While it is too early to say if we will regularly follow, I was impressed with this channel. We discovered it just this week with an Aston Martin engine rebuild after water damage, and I have now already watched about five of Mats’ vlogs. Production values are really high, and the presentation is good, so no wonder they have 4.9m subscribers. With that many watching, I must be one of the last to discover this channel, but I do tend not to watch much motor-related content. A spin off mark II channel also exists with additional content.

Lastly, I am always looking for similar new content to follow. Please comment below with recommendations. And if you know of a good Australian-based city vlogger to follow for Sydney adventures, please let me know.
