A quick post to let you know if you use You Tube and are a Premium member or you want a no-ad service, a new Lite subscription has just launched in the UK by Google.

I had previously subscribed and reviewed You Tube Premium (here) and loved the ad-free benefit. Now for £7.99 I can get ad-free by subscribing to Lite.

Using the lite service, there are some limitations. Unlike full Premium, you do not get You Tube Music and you cannot download videos, which is fair enough. While lite is ad-free, you may get ads for shorts and definitely for music videos. Otherwise, for all other content that I watch and subscribe to, it will be ad-free.

At £7.99 instead of £12.99, I am very happy with this new sub as we do watch a lot of You Tube Premium. I am sure many will be pleased with this new offering and is something many have wanted for some time.

To learn more, and to find out which countries have this new plan, read on Google here.
