We used to love eating at Frankie and Benny’s when we had a local branch in Rugby. Our nearest is now in Leicester Highcross, and my daughter and I used it as an excuse to meet up with my niece.

The branch is nicely presented with welcoming staff. We had a booth near a window and got presented with the main menu and a Christmas meal deal menu.

My daughter opted for a lasagne, while my niece and I went for mac and cheese bites for starters and then the Holiday burger for main. On arrival, the picture of the Holiday burger caught our eye, with bacon, stuffing, and sausage.

The mac and cheese starters were very nice and served with cranberry sauce. The burger was also very tasty and felt very Christmassy. The only feedback being that it would have been nice if the cranberry sauce was warm with the starter, but that’s just personal preference. My daughter enjoyed her lasagne before the girls had generous ice cream portions for dessert which we ordered off the Christmas menu.

Speed of service and restaurant staff were all good. Food quality was excellent, and overall we gave the meal 8 out of 10. An enjoyable meal with good company.
