My wife booked show tickets for Rachael prior to our cruise to see her perform at “The Headliners Theatre” onboard P&O cruise ship “Arvia”.

I have a confession though, this is one of those occasions where somehow you have missed this persons star rise. And when you do discover them, you instantly know that you will be following their work.

Rachael is an amazingly talented singer and performer who is also very funny. Her voice and ability to mimic other singers is unlike any other artist.

In true “Diva” style, Rachael flew into Italy to join our cruise before I believe she departed later from a port in Spain.

The first show was in the theatre with Rachael performing a comic version of Cher. Vocally her performance was excellent while working through about 45 minutes of Cher’s classics.

Rachael was fully dressed as Cher while impersonating the great “Diva” and absolutely cracked up the audience. Very funny with spot on vocals and voice impersonation.

Hits included “Shoop Shoop Song”, “Believe”, “I got you babe” and “Gypsies, Tramps and Thieves”. All excellently performed.

I personally thought Rachael was amazing and I was so pleased to learn she would also be performing a version of her “Divalution” show as well later in the cruise. A further opportunity to see her perform.

Possibly the most friendliest of artists that I have seen perform. Bursting into the audience, waving to fans, grabbing phones all while singing and recording videos as keep sakes for audience members (who were already recording).

Not surprisingly, Rachael or should I say “Cher” gained a massive standing ovation at the end of the show. A real talent who was appreciated by the whole audience.

After watching the show, I researched a little about Rachael and discovered about her successful career. And being a gamer, was impressed to see she has recorded for a new Nintendo video game soundtrack/song. Certainly I will be looking her up on “You Tube” and “Apple Music”.

A nice touch on Rachael’s part is that she responds to the many messages that she receives. I was pleased to gain a response to my message letting her know I had enjoyed the show.

As her popularity was massive on board, I believe the Captain also watched her performance.

A couple of nights later, Rachael performed in the ships clubhouse. We went to the late show at 11pm and the venue was still packed. A cabaret style bar setting. Again, the audience was thoroughly enjoying the show. As a 45 minute set, I would expect this to be a abridged version of the full “Divalution” show.

The show featured amazing performances of many divas including Whitney Houston, Bonnie Tyler and many more. Rachael also called out for suggestions and did many acappella vocals to audience requests. Again, the performance was not only good vocally but funny.

When she left the ship, we did see her looking “diva” like (in a good way) and chatting to cruise guests. I would have loved to get a photo and autograph (I collect selfies and signatures) but had a cold. Did not feel fair to approach an artist who relies on their voice.

Thank you Rachael for the amazing entertainment. I will definitely be looking out for future shows to see you perform on the mainland.

Thank you Rachael for brilliant entertainment.
