ITVX promotes exclusive content to stream before general broadcast. As a paid subscriber, my family also benefit from no adverts which is a good benefit.

This latest series that was released on the 7th of December is a supernatural thriller about a dead woman who discovers that she committed suicide. The reason for death then documents her as suffering from mental health issues. At first her recollection of events is vague with little memory and she gradually uncovers the truth.

The limited series consists of 4 x 1 hour episodes and stars Jasmine Jobson who I understand is known for “Top Boy”.

Jasmine plays the main lead called Lisa and is excellent in the role. While the story starts off perhaps a little slow in episode 1, it is worth sticking with as things get interesting by episode 2 with relationships appearing more complex. Episode 3 concluded where I thought the story would finish, so it takes a nice unexpected turn of events in episode 4 to explore the outcome.

Episode 4 was particularly good and was a good conclusion to the series.

The series was cast well with many excellent performances from all the cast.

The Guardian was not too complimentary about the series and called it tedious and questioned it being called a thriller. As the Guardian often is, I felt they were a little harsh.

I personally enjoyed this mini series and would recommend. You can only watch this on the ITVX player as an exclusive currently as no known date for transmission has been released for ITV1 yet.

A recommended watch.

  • “Paradise” – Disney Plus/Hulu

“The second season is nearly done, and somehow I’ve only just discovered this show. I’m about to start the series one finale and honestly, what a great watch it’s been. It feels like 24 meets Lost, with plenty of twists and surprises along the way. I’m hoping it just keeps getting better.“
