For a relatively straightforward meal, finding decent burgers and fries (chips) is quite difficult these days. So many pubs and restaurants serve up average and basic burger offerings. Okay offerings rather than top of the league.
Byron Burgers is a slightly higher-end burger bar experience and more expensive than a fast food or pub offering. Pricing for burgers does not come with fries, which need to be ordered in addition. However, that is not too big a problem if it is a decent offering.
Recently, the only other decent burger I had ordered was from Five Guys, which was excellent. How would Byron Burgers compare?
The site was just off the main Covent Garden area (map below), and the menu outside was appealing as the menu on display highlighted a decent amount of burgers and a simple menu (example here). The menu took you through choices as to whether you wanted to select a signature single patty or a double smash burger (double patty). The burgers to select included a decent choice, and I opted for the double patty smash cheeseburger, and my wife had the double patty smash Byron burger. Ordered with two lots of fries and a side of onion rings.

The restaurant was busy and well presented. Tables are quite tightly packed together and small, but the service was quick and excellent. The only issue was the air con, which was blowing hard and so cold. We could hear others complaining. And then the light fittings are so low-hanging for anyone tall that I banged my head several times.
Our server was excellent, and once the food was ordered , it was delivered extremely fast. Both burgers were quite heavy and decent in size. Packed with filling and tasty. A side portion of onion rings was also ordered, and along with the fries, they were all well prepared.
Overall, a pleasant and quick eating experience. Price-wise, it is about what you expect for the West End. We would definitely go again.
