What is your favorite drink?

Like many people, I had my share of alcoholic drinks and pints in my younger years. In truth, though, I was influenced more by peer pressure than any real enjoyment of them. I’ve always preferred soft drinks, and when I did drink alcohol, it was usually something sweet like an alcopop that is likely not the trendy thing to have done.

We all know fizzy drinks are not exactly healthy and are often loaded with sugar. Traditional diet colas never really appealed to me, but Pepsi Max felt different when it launched in the 1990s. It was not overtly marketed as a “diet” drink, even though it is sugar free, it genuinely tasted good. At the time, Pepsi Max was positioned more towards an adult male audience, which gave it a distinct identity.

I have probably drunk more “Pepsi Max” over the years than I should have, but it remains a drink I genuinely enjoy.
