This kitchen/bar is conveniently close to where I live and makes for a lovely spot to stop for food beside the Oxford Canal in Rugby.

It had been a while since my last visit, probably around two years, and there have clearly been some positive changes to improve the overall setup. Outside now features a bar area and a new pathway, while the car park has been resurfaced. There is also table service available, along with online ordering from your table if you prefer.

We popped in for breakfast and both came away impressed. The breakfast sandwiches were absolutely loaded, the tea arrived in a large pot, and my latte was decent.

My wife chose the sausage and egg sandwich, while I went for sausage and bacon. Both were served in massive thick-cut fresh bread with generous fillings. The portions were excellent and the pricing felt very reasonable for the quality and amount of food. Probably the best breakfast sarnies as not thin packet bread.

We will definitely be back to explore more of the menu. Service was friendly and efficient, the surroundings are pleasant, and parking is easy, all of which made for a very enjoyable visit.
