Edit March 2026 – we normally visit this restaurant once a year and have done so for many years. I’ve written more in-depth reviews previously, but this visit was a family meal to celebrate my birthday.

Service was, as always, quick and friendly. We all chose the mushrooms to start, followed by a choice of 10 oz rump and sirloin steaks for our mains. My daughter finished with the pistachio white chocolate cheesecake for dessert.

The food quality remains excellent and the atmosphere is just as good as ever. We did have a small query on the bill, but it was quickly corrected without any fuss. We remain firm fans of this restaurant and it clearly continues to be very popular, as it always seems to be busy.

Original 2024 Review

My family and I have visited this restaurant a lot of times for special occasions. Last year, I wrote a full review here.

I highly recommended the restaurant as the experience is always excellent. Their secret is consistent high standards. Three of us were eating and celebrating my birthday. We all had mushrooms for starters and sirloin steaks on this occasion. We also took advantage of an offer for free desserts which were very nice. The restaurant has different offers some depending on the day of the week.

Why do we like going back? Not only is the food quality good but the staff are well trained. Impressive in this day and age and tonight, a new team member was being trained. Shadowing an experienced member of the team. Good to see, as obviously helps to keep standards consistent.

Thank you to the team for the effort and quick service. Always a nice atmosphere and the decor is fab.

Cost wise, to be fair, it is reasonable and does not appear to have gone up as much as you would expect.

The fact that you have to book far in advance says a lot about this venue. If you live in the Rugby/Warwickshire area (or visiting), do take advantage of this excellent venue.

Rating: 5 out of 5.

“The second season is nearly done, and somehow I’ve only just discovered this show. I’m about to start the series one finale and honestly, what a great watch it’s been. It feels like 24 meets Lost, with plenty of twists and surprises along the way. I’m hoping it just keeps getting better.“
