MagicFest Opens Tomorrow!
Tomorrow evening the first MagicFest performance takes place! Join Kevin Quantum at the Caledonian Hotel with the 3-day festive run of “Edinburgh Magic“. An intimate evening of wonder awaits in the enchanting Versailles Suite in this delightful five star hotel. Enjoy a glass of prosecco on arrival and enjoy an hour of intimate magic with one of Edinburgh’s finest magicians in one of the most festive venues in the city!

Between Christmas and New Year, the Scottish Storytelling Centre becomes a buzzing hub of wonder. Across two packed days (27–28 December) we’re presenting 12 magic shows and 2 hands-on workshops — for kids, families, older kids, grown-ups and everyone in between. With over 1,000 tickets available (many already gone), this warm, intimate 100-seat theatre is the perfect place to tuck yourself away and soak up world-class magic.
Insane Christmas Magic
A global magic phenomenon, Insane Christmas Magic returns to MagicFest after touring the world, from Glastonbury to sell-out runs at the Edinburgh Fringe. Four magicians. Four times the magic. A spellbinding, high-energy 80-minute show packed with jaw-dropping moments.
Tricky Ricky – Family Show
Edinburgh legend Tricky Ricky brings his joyous family show Jingles All the Way to the festival. Expect slapstick humour, puppetry and utter chaos, delivered with warmth, silliness and big laughs for kids — and plenty for the grown-ups too.
Four Magicians – Experience The Impossible
Four of Scotland’s most exciting magicians join forces in this fast-paced showcase. After touring Scotland over the last year, they bring four distinct styles, massive variety, and nonstop astonishment — it’s a brilliant snapshot of modern Scottish magic at its best.
Richard Wiseman – The World’s Most Boring Card Trick
Psychologist and illusion-buster Professor Richard Wiseman presents his legendary experiment The World’s Most Boring Card Trick. It sounds dull. It absolutely isn’t. A clever, funny, mind-twisting demonstration that proves just how strange (and brilliant) the human mind really is.
Magic Workshop with Tim Licata
Chicago-born and Scotland-based Tim Licata invites you behind the curtain in this hands-on magic workshop. Learn not just the tricks, but how to perform them with confidence and style, drawing on Tim’s experience in bar magic, festivals, and the Edinburgh Fringe.
Jamie Leonard – Wonder Boy
