Back in October/November, I gave YouTube Premium a trial. I had already watched a lot of YouTube and I was interested to find out if the ad-free viewing would be worth it. While expensive at £12 a month, I suspected that I would likely follow more content and watch more with ad-free. This appears true as it is so convenient to have content without ads.

I previously wrote about the fact that I enjoyed following the Magic Geekdom and The Endless adventure. Two travel channels. Now ad-free, I have discovered a few more channels that I recommend. Links for everything below.

My new favourite blogger is Hannah Ricketts. She blogs about London, food, and travel. Lots of videos and blogs once a week. Very easy to watch, informative, and funny. Recent videos have included Christmas markets and afternoon teas. She is down-to-earth and will not only blog about Harrods and Fortnum and Masons but Greggs and Poundland.

Another new discovery is the Food Channel by Harrison Webb. Harrison tends to review restaurants and eateries in London, but sometimes further afield places. Another natural personality in front of the camera who has also been blogging for quite some time before I discovered them.

For house renovations, we have also discovered the weekly videos by Molly and Louis called Belgrave Villa Renovation, which is entertaining and interesting. Each week, they review the work and renovations that this couple has undertaken. The property is quite large and Victorian, and to save money, this young couple is doing a fantastic job doing most renovations themselves.

As I have used YouTube for many years, I occasionally tune into some creators like Marcus Brownlee who carry out tech reviews. I was following nearly 150 creators but have now cut down to about 40.

Also worth a mention is Brogan Tate and Emma Cruises. Emma’s channel is of interest as it is about travel and cruising. Definitely worth a follow. Then Brogan Tate releases a new variety of content from travel, cruises, and more general day-to-day videos.

When considering whether to go ad-free with YouTube, it is worth considering if you would likely follow more content than you currently watch. If so, it will likely be worth your while subscribing as you will save so much time.
