Reviewing the September 14th show at “The Lemon Tree” in Aberdeen.

« Blending and Bonding », these are two “Bs” for Four Magicians who subtly propose to embark you on a conversation with their creative magic. As their show develops, Four Magicians enchant you by bringing you closer to them, making you an actor of a unique collection of magical solos, duets, and quartets.

Four Magicians offer a spiral of magical and stage experiences. You will be tickled by Jeff and Ivor’s irresistible self-derision staging build-ups getting you gasping at their audience-bonding magical feats. Proximity with them, proximity with you, this is how they weave this magical journey. There is a startling thread of humour in Jeff and Ivor, having delighted audiences across the world with their treat of irresistible talent uniquely mixing magic and comedy.

Eoin blessed a packed Lemon Tree by unleashing his tested gaze of mystery. His expertise is mentalism, but you will also enjoy his special Scottish, eery, North-East, touch to it.  His stage bag includes white socks, and doing magic with them and Ivor(!), but you will be introduced to a doll that you will never forget!

Four Magicians’ engine room lies in its identity, which gets equally  boosted by James’ creativity. If you have never inspected a magician’s mouth, this may be your chance. It is  also fascinating what can happen to a single grape, or a can of peas, and James will demonstrate his world-acclaimed Aberdeen Threads.

Four Magicians is a heartfelt conversation with your emotions, delivering pieces of humanity and warmth, while teasing and mesmerising their audience. This is perhaps their tour-de-force, their silent touch, that comes out once you have exited their magical journey. They make you smile, they make you laugh, they invite you on, and take you with them, and that is what brought the Lemon Tree to their feet. Highly recommended.
