A new magic bar opened earlier this year in Blackpool.  Owned and run by magician Russ Brown, the venue offers intimate shows and close up magic.

Russ advertises many shows. To date, acts like Noel Qualter and Romany have already performed. Future shows include Ryland and Craig Petty along with Jasper Cherry who is also doing dates.

The bar is a great addition to Blackpool and with only 40 seats, your guaranteed a great view.

Magic bars are quite rare, so if you get a chance to visit, I would highly recommend.

I attended the Russ Brown Family Magic show, which lasted over 90 mins plus interval.  My family also joined me and we especially travelled to Blackpool for this show. Russ greeted us at the door and the audience was treated with close up magic prior to the show start.

A family run business.  Facilities included a small bar for drinks and a custom stage. Great sound system and discreet cameras to broadcast close up magic on screens.

Fabulous golden age of magic posters are also on display and are fitting for this venue. Fantastic frontage and the inside fitted out nicely for a magic venue. The venue looks great.

The show started promptly at 1830 and was divided into two main segments. The first being kids magic and stage illusions followed by a second half with more close up magic.

Russ is a great showman. Very lively, entertaining and funny. I was laughing throughout and my wife and daughter (11) enjoyed it very much.

The show is very interactive and if you are up for joining in, there is a strong chance of being involved. Russ was particularly good with the children in the audience and made special memories for them to remember.

The sound and accompanying music was excellent. Much of the music times to Russ and his performance.

I have personally seen a lot of magic performances and was pleased to watch material that was delivered in a unique and fresh way. I would describe the show as good old fashioned family entertainment. Russ performing magic that fits his style.

I always keep my reviews spoiler free. But I can guarantee that adults and children will enjoy this show and I thoroughly recommend.

As a magic fan, it made my night to get a photo and signed playing card from Russ. My collection of autographed cards is growing. The opportunity to talk to Russ was great as well.

Do take a look at the venues website here. And if you see a show your interested in, book quickly as tickets are always very limited. Russ also has future dates planned for his show as well as guest performers.

I should say that the website is very easy to navigate and booking is straightforward. No complicated purchase paths, just select the show, number of tickets and Apple Pay completed the purchase in seconds.

I definitely hope to attend this bar for shows again in future. Thanks to Russ and his team who help run the venue for a fantastic evening. I can’t wait to visit again.
